The fabulous Tapir

This robot was inspired by a lot of animals like the elephant, crocodile, calmar and tapir. It’s got the head of a tapir, the chest of a crocodile, the tail of a squid, the trunk and the feet of an elephant. It will walk on two feet, move its head and trunk from right to left to keep the balance. Its tail can also open or close with a mechanical system composed of a servomotor and two solids bars for the swinging. First, we thought about using leather to cover the metallic body but as it seemed complicated we changed our mind and decided to build it in wood.
