It's a turtle robot. Her name is Tutue.
She has a round body so she can make somersaults with her tail and her body. Morever, she has one head and four paws.
She has one sensor on her shell to detect a human hand. When detecting the hand, Tutue runs faster to flee.
Tutue has a lot of color leds. So, Tutue is the most beautiful of all the robots!
We want to build a robot which plays bagpipe. The robot will look like an elephant. The pipe of the bagpipe will be the trunk of the elephant.
The elephant's ears will compress the bag to blow in the pipe. The tusks will block the hole of the pipe to play notes.
We will create a robot piano with colours of the french flag : blue, white and red.
The piano is supposed to be in his chest.
His head is blue, his chest could be white and finally his legs are red.
We think we want to put leds in his eyes to change colors.
We hope to win with that idea !!!
We will build a double bass robot with : a bass string, a sound box, a stick and for the moment we need just two motors to stretch the bass string.
Next time, we will build two legs, but for the moment, we are working on the first objective which is to produce a sound similar to a double bass.
SpelBot is a robot created in Altanta in Spelman College. The robot looks like a dog, he can play soccer with his team against other teams. He has a color camera and an infrared sensor to be able to move. The robot is controled by a memory stick. SpelBot was created to take part in a national soccer robot competition.
His name is PARO! The paro robot was developped in 2000 or 17 years ago by Takanori Shobato. He is 57 cm tall and he weighs 7 kilos. He moves like a real seal and his shape also looks like a real seal. He was created for patients affected by the disease of McKenzie. The robot speaks and moves like a real pet. Paro can learn the movement of the patient to interact.
In 2011 Markus Fisher and his friends from Festo designed smartbird. Its purpose is to fly by flapping wings. It looks like a seagull and must be aerodynamics, ultralight and powerful. It contains 135 micro motors and 1 big motor. It weighs 0.450 kilogramsand it's made only of carbon. The wingspan is 2 meters long and the torso length is 1.07 meter.
Hello, today we're going to present you Pepper the robot. Pepper is a humanoïd robot, he was created in june 2014 by Alderaban Robotics and Softbank. His height is 1,20 m and his weight is 28 kg. He has 3 wheels, 3 cameras with one in 3D and 2 in HD. He has 14 sensors ( 5 tactile sensors, 2 sonars, 6 lasers and 1 gyroscopic sensor) and 4 microphones. He can be programmed to do whatever you want. He was created to be a human companion and interact with humans. He can talk with others, play with kids…
This robot was created by Fujitsu Laboratories. This robot looks like a teddy bear. He was created to entertain the children or help old people who have Alzheimer disease, he can entertain all the house. When you move he imitates your movements with his cameras. When you are sad for exemple he detects this and he reacts to change your emotion. When you touch him he detects your hand with sensors and he is happy and he laughs with his microphone and when you touch his feet he laughs again. If you don't use him for a long time he falls asleep. He can move his legs, his arms. his hand and his head from the right to the left.
His name is Flyingrobot. He looks like a seagull. His wingspan is two meters. It weighs 450g. It has a gear activated by just one motor, which transfers the circulation in a carbon fibre structure in the wings. He has three sensors to detect obstacles and to enable him to fly on his own. In total there are 135 motors to move the head. It was developed by Markus Fischer.
Simon was designed by the Interactive Computing Georgia Institute Of Technology in 2007. He looks like human : he has two arms and two hands, he has a face with eyes, eyelids and nose. His arms and his hands are as tall as human limbs. Simon can put objects in colored bins, he can see and recognize objets and humans and he can talk with them. He has cameras and motors. Everybody can use it, everybody can have it in their house.
Paro robot was created by Takeshenori in 2000. Paro looks like a real baby seal, he can move his head from the right to the left and from the bottom to the top and move his lateral fins. For more reality he can cry like a baby seal. He has got many sensors (~12), his weight is 2,5 kg and is 57cm long. The robot was created to be a companion for old people in nursing homes.
